LAST WEEK, APPLE announced their two latest models, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The two phones are larger than previous models and resemble a sort of phone/tablet hybrid.
Many were quick to spot the similarities between the new iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy, which has boasted larger screens since 2011.
Someone else who noticed? Samsung.
In response to last week’s announcement, they have released this new television ad, which expertly throws some shade at its competitor.
The ad opens with this statement:
When the Galaxy Note launched in 2011, it was ahead of its time and naturally when things are new and different, sometimes people aren’t ready for them.
Burn.
It then notes how the larger model was initially dismissed by critics and other manufacturers as “unwieldy”, while it is now being imitated by, you know, Apple.
This isn’t the only time Samsung have poked fun at their rivals. Last week, they released a series of videos mocking Apple and portraying their employees (sometimes known as “Apple geniuses”) as bumbling fools.
Watch the latest ad below and rejoice in the almighty shade.
