Saoirse Ronan spoke about going makeup free and her daily beauty routine

It’s extremely simple.

IF YOU’RE NOT a fan of wearing makeup every day, you’ll appreciate Saoirse Ronan’s approach to it all.

Saoirse told Elle Magazine that she’s been on the au naturale vibe lately. She says Ladybird helped her fly the makeup-free flag more often.

I went through a stage around Lady Bird where I didn’t have good skin, and Greta really encouraged me to show that off.
Something about owning that and taking control of it was quite empowering. When you spend so much time at work wearing heavy makeup when you’re doing press, the last thing you want to do is put makeup on when you’re not working.

She said a bout of bad skin when she was 21 improved when she took it easy on the makeup. She also credited Vitamin C serums with helping.

As for her beauty routine? Saoirse told Elle that she uses a Tatcha cleansing oil, vitamin C serum, and an Aesop moisturiser.

“That’s it. I don’t wear foundation everyday”.

She also revealed that she doesn’t do facials in case they break her out, but gets her team to give her a full body massage before red carpet events. An easy trade in, I’d say.

Saoirse also spoke about the very exciting upcoming Little Women remake with Greta Gerwig. Filming is starting in the next few weeks and she’s been preparing by reading a lot about Louisa May Alcott, “since Jo is essentially Louisa”.

Saoirse signed up for the remake during the summer, which will reportedly include roles for Emma Stone, Florence Pugh, Laura Dern, and Meryl Streep. What a line up.
