OVER THE WEEKEND, tensions between Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall became apparent once again.

Recently bereaved Kim Cattrall was mourning the death of her brother Chris Cattrall after he was unexpectedly found dead on the 4th of February.

Days later, she took to Instagram to express her anger that Sarah Jessica Parker would attempt to reach out to her while she was grieving, considering all of their conflict in the past.

After thanking friends, family and colleagues for the support they offered her family as they came to terms with the loss of Chris Cattrall, Kim shared another photo in which she lambasted Sarah Jessica Parker for attempting to ‘exploit’ the tragedy of her brother’s death to restore her ‘nice girl persona’.

Several days later, Sarah Jessica Parker has finally broken her silence.

In tomorrow’s edition of People Magazine, Sarah Jessica Parker says that her ‘public feud with Kim Cattrall is one-sided’. Parker, who has been described as ‘toxic’ by Kim Cattrall’ said that the comments Kim has made about her are ‘really hurtful’.

SJP says that she has ‘no plans to respond to Cattrall publicly’ but commented:

There was no fight; it was completely fabricated, because I actually never responded.

Parker also expressed disappointment about the fact that a third Sex and the City movie would not happen and that the women had ended up in this situation:

We had this experience and it was amazing, and nothing will ever be like it. We had a connection with an audience, and we had a connection with the city and with this crew, and we got to tell these crazy stories with each other. So I don’t want to mess with that.

Despite all of Sarah Jessica Parker’s happy Sex and the City memories, Kim Cattrall has made it clear multiple times that she does not feel the same way about her experience on the show.

When Cattrall called out Sarah Jessica Parker on Instagram last weekend, she shared a link to a NY Post article that examines the ‘mean girls’ culture that reportedly existed behind the scenes on Sex and the City in which SJP was always framed as the ‘nice girl’, while Cattrall was excluded and isolated on set, and often framed as a ‘villain’ and a ‘diva’.
