Sarah Jessica Parker donates her handbag to charity... in Killybegs, Co Donegal

The Sex and the City star Fedexed the designer clutch over with a personal note so it could be raffled off in aid of the local women’s group.

SEX AND THE City star Sarah Jessica Parker has parted with one of her expensive designer handbags to help a Donegal charity.

The actress sent the bag to be raffled off in aid of the Killybegs Women’s Group – dispatching it via Fedex along with a personal note saying “I miss Ireland and send my best wishes”, according to the Daily Star (print edition only).

Parker, who played style icon Carrie in the show and is known for her love of designer outfits, owns a house in Kilcar with her husband Matthew Broderick and visits the county regularly.

Killybegs Women’s Group treasurer Carol McClean told the Star: “All I can tell you is a local woman would need a lot of wages to afford it. Never did we expect such a generous donation – we are absolutely thrilled.”

The raffle is due to be held on July 15.
