Sarkozy's ex-wife could ruin re-election chances with new book
NICOLAS SARKOZY’S EX-WIFE is planning to release an autobiographical novel that could hamper the French president’s chances of retaining office when he runs for re-election next year.
Cécilia Attias will finally break her silence and dish the dirt on Sarkozy according to Voici (French). The pair were together for over 20 years but divorced in 2007 when she took up with businessman Richard Attias, who she later married.
Sarkozy has also since remarried, getting hitched to the model and musician Carla Bruni.
The revelation of the potentially revelatory book emerged on the French political website Atlantico (French) which says that although written as a novel the book would be largely inspired by her rich and busy lifestyle.
The timing of the book, scheduled for release sometime in 2012, is no surprise according to France 24.
One political analyst said: “If the former wife of Sarkozy wants to publish a book about her life, then of course her publisher is going to want to sell it the year Sarkozy in running for re-election.”
Attias has already dished some dirt on her former husband telling ABC’s This Week programme how women used to throw themselves at Sarkozy even when she was present.
