WHEN YOU’RE NERVOUS about something, there’s nothing worse than seeing it mentioned everywhere you go – so spare a thought for this year’s Leaving Cert students.
Unlike just a few years ago, they can’t seek solace online to escape tomorrow morning’s impending results, because Twitter, Facebook and other social networks are there to remind them of what’s in store.
Of course, Twitter in particular is giving people a space to vent about their feelings, though we’re not sure how much consolation it is.
Still, at least nervous Leaving Certificate students know one thing – that they’re most definitely not in this alone (and, contrary to one of the tweets featured in our slideshow, they won’t be turned into sausage rolls, no matter how many points they get).
