Here's the David McSavage sketch he says RTÉ refused to show
HERE IS THE sketch from The Savage Eye that comedian David McSavage claims RTÉ refused to show.
It involves the President of Ireland, some nuns, a gardener named Jesús and an ice-cold can of holy water.
The video was uploaded to YouTube yesterday by an account that hosts a number of the show’s sketches.
The official Savage Eye Twitter account then posted the sketch this morning, in a tweet directed at Broadsheet.ie.
Last month, McSavage told the Sunday Times that RTÉ had “banned” the sketch, adding: “I think we’re kind of going backwards a little bit”.
And he told the Irish Mirror yesterday that the State broadcaster was “failing at its job” by not producing “quality”.
DailyEdge.ie has contacted RTÉ for comment.
