An Irish genius with an IQ of 197 is the inspiration behind a new US TV show
A NEW US television show set to air this autumn is based on the exploits of an Irish-born genius, who is ranked as the fourth-most intelligent person in the world.
Walter O’Brien, who was born and raised in Ireland, is the brains behind Scorpion Computer Services, a firm that specialises in everything from risk management to security. The Enniscorthy native has an IQ of 197 making him among the most intelligent people in the world.

He describes himself as one of the “world’s leading experts in the application of computer science and artificial intelligence to solve industry challenges” and was awarded an Extraordinary Ability EB 1-1 Visa – the same awarded to Albert Einstein – by the Department of Homeland Security for being an asset to the US economy.
Now, US television network CBS have made a series based on O’Brien and his company. No biggy.
Scorpion will premiere on September 22nd and given the Irish connection, there’s little doubt that it will hit our screens shortly thereafter.
