Ireland’s pubs, which did a roaring trade last month, now face the annual threat of Dry January and its ensuing tumbleweeds.
But they’re not taking it lying down – Scraggs Alley in Carlow is hoping to entice the punters in with some timely ‘special offers’ for those giving up the drink:
