'It falls on deaf ears' - Selena Gomez's mam said that she didn't want her working with Woody Allen

Her mam didn’t hold back when asked to make Selena apologise.

SELENA GOMEZ RAISED a few eyebrows when it was announced that she would be taking a role in Woody Allen’s new movie, A Rainy Day in New York.

Selena previously said that she blames ‘the universe’ for working with Woody during the Hollywood sex scandals.

Speaking to Billboard, she said:

It actually happened right after I had started. They popped up in the midst of it. That’s something, yes, I had to face and discuss. I stepped back and thought, wow, the universe works in interesting ways.

It seems her mother, Mandy, warned her about taking the role, if this Instagram comment is anything to go by

Mandy and Selena currently have a strained relationship, with Mandy pretty much confirming that she doesn’t exactly approve of her daughter’s boyfriend, Justin Bieber.

Woody Allen was accused of molesting his adoptive daughter Dylan Farrow by Dylan herself, and his former wife, Mia Farrow. Dylan published an open letter in the New York Times with the allegations in 2014. Woody has denied the claims.

Meanwhile, her co-star Timothée Chalamet announced that he would be donating his entire salary from the film to charity.

In an Instagram post, the actor said he initially couldn’t comment on his decision to work on the film due to contractual obligations, but would now be donating his salary to Time’s Up, RAINN (the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network), and the LGBT Centre in New York.
