Beauty Q: Are you bothered about using serum?
FROM FOLLOWING MY faves on Insta, I know serum means a lot to them.
Brands like Kiehls, The Ordinary, and Trilogy are regular faves, in particular the aforementioned Kiehs Midnight Recovery Oil.
While some people rush to slather themselves before hitting the hay, I’m not one of them. Or at least, I wasn’t up until very recently.
The reason for this is two-fold. One, my skincare routine is low maintenance AF. I use cleanser, moisturiser and SPF regularly, and introduce acid exfoliators when I need to. Adding another step? No thanks! I’ve got things to do.
As well as that, my skin can be pretty sensitive at the best times, especially when it comes to moisturisers/oils/serums. For the most part, I’vefound that they’ve made me more greasy than anything.
However, I’ve been using a teeny, tiny tube of Casmara serum leftover from a treatment I got recently that was specially formulated for my skin. And so far, so good, in the sense that I haven’t broken out into a heaving, pus-filled mess.
Do I think I look immediately younger? More radiant? More well-rested? Not yet. Do I think other people look a million bucks as result of using it? Well, surely it’s not that alone right?
So tell me – do you use serum? Or are you as similarly disinterested as myself?
