MOST ACTORS AND directors let the anniversaries of their movies pass by without making any major acknowledgement of it to the public. Not Seth Rogen.

Last August, Seth Rogen shared a heap of weird trivia about Superbad on the film’s tenth anniversary. Among other things, we learned that the period blood scene had actually happened to one of Seth’s friends in real life.

Last night, Rogen celebrated ten years since the release of Pineapple Express by tweeting some similarly weird facts.

1. Pineapple Express was actually a completely fictional strain of weed, invented by Seth Rogen and co.

2. And they named it after a Hawaiian weather system.

There’s also a train at a Dole pineapple plantation with the same name.

3. Rolling cross joints is actually such a fine art that Seth and co-director Evan Goldberg were the only people on set who could actually do it.

4. Seth’s personal favourite Easter egg in the movie is the shoes that Matheson wore.

5. While the film was being promoted, there was a billboard on Sunset Boulevard that was smoking. It was removed by the local fire department because too many people thought it was on fire.

6. Unsurprisingly, Ford did not want to be associated with this stoner cult classic.

7. Seth Rogen did the vast majority of his own stunts.

8. As a result, there were plenty of injuries.

 9. Even broken bones.

10. According to Judd Apatow, Bryan Cranston auditioned. If he had been successful in his audition, there’s a good chance that Breaking Bad would have never happened.

11. Kanye was at the premiere.

 12. There was a tiny Stormy Daniels cameo.

13. James Franco and Seth Rogen were originally supposed to play the opposite roles.

 14. They loved Danny McBride so much they extended his character’s life.

15. Finally, the song most people associate with the movie wasn’t actually even in the movie.
