THERE AREN’T MANY phrases that strike fear into our hearts like the words ‘country crossover’ do. And yet, back in 1999 we were utterly bewitched by this slightly saucy Shania Twain song, That Don’t Impress Me Much.
“Saucy, THAT song?” I hear you scoff.
Oh yes. The verses are a tad silly, we’ll admit. But the killer lines are in the chorus:
Don’t get me wrong, yeah I think you’re alright/But that won’t keep me warm in the middle of the night.
Top marks for her leopard print outfit too.
