This town set up a shrine to a packet of digestives tragically crushed on a road

Only right.

EARLIER THIS WEEK, Twitter user Hugh Osborn (@HughO2) posted this picture of a devastating accident that took place on a road in Leamington Spa, England.

Yes, that’s someone’s precious packet of digestives, gone too soon.

Some may say they’re just biscuits, but the locals weren’t about to let the tragedy go unmarked – one hero honoured the fallen biccies with daffodils and a candle.

Next, someone else left a note of sympathy for the owner of the biscuits.

Then, as a final touch, someone added a photo of the biscuits as young graduates. Such a bright future ahead of them!

As Hugh’s pictures began to go viral, Twitter rallied around the mourning town in its time of need, offering kind words of support.

People even went out to pay their respects at the shrine:

As they should. RIP, Leamington Digestives. We hardly knew ye.
