Síle Seoige's Christmas charity single is beating Taylor Swift on iTunes
SÍLE SEOIGE AND some other familiar faces performed their charity single Maybe This Christmas on the Saturday Night Show last night.
Proceeds from the single – which also features vocals from Kathryn Thomas, Brian Kennedy, Mary Black and Caroline Morahan among others – are going to Make-A-Wish Ireland and ISPCC Childline.
After the performance, the song hit #3 on Ireland’s iTunes chart – ahead of Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off and just behind Band Aid’s Do They Know It’s Christmas.
(This is only based on pre-orders, as it doesn’t come out officially until December 5. And Shake It Off has been out since August. But hey.)
The song’s producers are asking supporters to help it become “the first homegrown Christmas number one since 2005.” You can buy it here.
