The much-hyped 'skinny' prosecco is now available in Cork, Limerick, and Dublin
WE FIRST HEARD about Skinny Prosecco back in April, and every hunzo in Ireland rejoiced.
The prosecco by Thomson & Scott contains 67 calories per glass, with just seven grams of sugar per litre.
The average litre of prosecco contains between 12 and 18 grams, with some particularly luxurious varieties hitting the 30 gram mark.
Thomson & Scott launched in April in the UK, but it wasn’t available to Irish prosecco fans until online store Winesoftheworld.ie began selling it. The only problem was that you had to buy six bottles at a time, which at €24.99, is not cheap.
Well, no more.
Brown Thomas in Cork, Limerick, and Dublin, have started stocking the stuff from today
The prosecco hails from Soligo in Italy’s Treviso province, with Thomson & Scott CEO Amanda Scott claiming she got the idea to create a lower calorie drink due after discovering the huge amounts of sugar in alcohol.
Not only that, but it’s also organic and vegan certified.
Well happy weekend to us.
