If they aren’t calling Colin Farrell ‘British’, claiming Saoirse Ronan as ‘one of their own’, or sticking Union Jacks all over coverage of Gary and Paul O’Donovan, they’re literally calling Ireland… well… England.

As we all know at this stage, the head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis, landed in Dublin today.

Dublin; as in the capital of the Ireland.

And while the visit has been well documented by international media over the course of the last month, Sky News are under the impression the Papal Visit is taking place in England.

Twitter users nearly lost their reason when footage of his arrival on Sky News was accompanied by the caption: “Pope in England”.
