Sky News Australia thought that Sinn Fein was (a) a man and (b) a member of the DUP

Oh dear.

AS AN OUTSIDER, it can be tough to keep up with the political shenanigans in Northern Ireland.

But if there are two basic things you should know, it’s that (a) Sinn Féin is not a sentient human being and (b) they are not affiliated with the DUP.

Spare a thought for the person manning Sky News Australia’s Facebook page, who last night suggested that Sinn Féin was a man and a member of the Democratic Unionist Party.
