Ipswich manager puts luxury mansion up for sale. Check out the house that Roy built.

SOCCER STAR ROY KEANE has put his country mansion outside Manchester up for sale.

The luxury 9,500 sq foot seven-bed house in Hale, Cheshire, is being sold by Gascoigne Halman.

The Sunday Times reports that Roy and his wife Theresa had just bought a house in the same area when this property came up for sale.

The couple preferred the privacy and location of this house and spent three years working on it, despite building another house at the same time. The other house was sold to one of Keane’s Man United teammates, and he now hopes to fetch £9.5m for this one.

The Keanes bought the house for £3.2m in 2005, according to the Sunday Times.

The property, set on 1.2 acres, has a swimming pool, pool house, games room and tennis court.
