LIVE TV MIGHT just be the most unpredictable of mediums – and even more so when you let members of the public call in.
And so it was on Monday night when Sky’s horseracing channel At The Races had their regular call in show.
And Frank from Sligo rang them up and made it on air
He only wanted to talk about one thing:
“I want to talk to ya about the bookmakers”
And his, eh unique methods:
“Well what I do Matt is I go around the pubs on Saturday and I take bets off the punters, you know, and I give a third of the odds in all the races”
Their pundit Matt was cracking up:
“Not sure that’s totally legal Frank”
But Frank seemed to know the law inside out:
‘Tis legal. You can do it up to €5000 on the day – you can’t go above €5000.
“Let’s hope so”
Once they uploaded the clip to Facebook and Twitter, Frank from Sligo was an instant hit:
Good man Frank.
