Irish Snapchat users are up in arms over 'Boxing Day' filters
@maitiuocoimin @maitiuocoimin
IT MIGHT BE Boxing Day in the UK, Snapchat, but here in Ireland we are celebrating St Stephen’s (or Stephensessssssss, depending on where you’re from) Day.
Snapchat’s Irish filters, which allow you to apply specific logos like ‘Dublin’ or ‘north Dublin’ to your snaps, are only offering a Boxing Day option to users today.
Whoops!

St Stephen’s Day is, of course, a day when the Irish traditionally have turkey sandwiches and Pringles for breakfast, sneer at the people going to the Brown Thomas sale, and prepare to have at least one awkward conversation in the local pub with someone they shifted when they were in fifth year.
Was it for this, indeed.
Whoops!
