It snowed for all of 15 minutes in Ireland today and '#sneachta' started trending on Twitter
MET ÉIREANN issued two snow-ice warnings yesterday and ever since, the whole country has been on tenterhooks. Will it snow? Is it ‘too cold’ to snow?
This morning, the residents of Letterkenny, Co Donegal reported a small sprinking of the white stuff - just enough to get everyone excited:
It took its time, but over the course of the day snow (‘snow’) began to fall across the country. And we went briefly mad, like we always do when it snows.
In fact, ‘#sneachta’ has been one of the top trending topics on Twitter in Ireland this evening as the nation shares its joy with the world.
