This Leaving Cert student channeled ANTM to decide which siblings would be included in her Spanish oral

“You are still in the running towards being included in my Spanish oral.”

ANYONE WHO EVER watched America’s Next Top Model will remember Tyra Banks’ iconic picture ceremonies.

Banks would stand in front of the crop of aspiring models to hand out photos to those progressing to the next round and deliver her infamous catchphrase, “You are still in the running towards becoming America’s Next Top Model.”

A few days ago, Leaving Cert student Vita Gethin decided to take a leaf out of Tyra’s book and subject her family members to an ANTM-style elimination process.

What were they being eliminated from, you ask? Her Leaving Cert Spanish Oral.

She sent a message to her family informing them that she would only be able to include five of the six family members in her oral.

After deciding that her mother, father and sister Megan were safe, she had to decide which of her other siblings would have the honour of being mentioned in her exam.

Her brother Mark managed to progress by virtue of the fact that he is a boy, therefore allowing Vita to weave elaborate tales about how much he loves sport. (Men love football and nothing else, you see.)

And so it was left between her sisters Ciara and Niamh. DUN DUN DUN.

In the end, she decided to eliminate her sister Niamh on account of the fact that she doesn’t know how old she is or what she does for a living. (Adulthood, eh?)

We’re very sorry but you are no longer going to feature in my Irish oral.

Definitely deserves an A1, if you ask us.

(h/t to Vita’s sister Megan for sending our way)
