And DCU’s Science and Health Soc have stumbled upon the dating idea of 2016 this week:

They’ve teamed up with DCU Engineering Soc to host it and are all set to go ahead in The Slipper pub across the road from the campus on November 2nd.

Katie, the chairperson of the Society, told DailyEdge.ie where they got the idea:

We are very keen enthusiasts of spice bags and the occasional date so in one of our brainstorming sessions for new fun events spice bag speed dating was born!

There will be spice bags present, of course, but they’re not sure how they will be presented yet:

We haven’t yet decided on whether the guests will be greeted with spicebags to get everyone in the mood – because come on who isn’t happy after they’ve eaten a spice bag? – or whether they’ll be on the table.

It’s true love.

The event page already has over 200 committed spice bag enthusiasts signed up, with a further 400 interested. And the event promises more:
