Woman sets her house on fire while trying to kill a spider
A WOMAN HAS been arrested on arson charges in Kansas after she tried to kill a spider with fire, and ended up accidentally setting part of her home alight.
Ginny Griffith, 34, said she saw a spider and decided to (and we’re paraphrasing here) literally kill it with fire. So she set some towels ablaze to make sure of its death.
However, the Hutchinson fire department had to be called to her home in the early hours of the morning last Friday. They found smoke coming from it, the Hutchinson News reports.
Griffith lives in a duplex whose other half is also occupied, so she is facing arson charges.
WTSP reports that she is currently being held on a $7,500 bond.
Frankly her actions seem completely understandable. Could we organise some kind of a whip-round?
