People think Starbucks is spelling your name wrong on purpose
STARBUCKS MISSPELLING people’s names on their coffee cups is a well-known phenomenon. Their mistakes with Irish names are so frequent, they’ve inspired a whole Instagram account.
You might think you’re being funny posting a picture of your misspelled name on Instagram, but get this – all you’re doing is giving them free advertising. Gasp!
The folks behind the YouTube channel Super Deluxe claim that one of their staffers went to five different Starbucks cafés to see how they would write her name (the easy-to-spell ‘Molly’) on the cups.

The result? Five different cups, but only two with the correct spelling. Which means:
“That’s right, sheeple – you’ve been giving Starbucks free publicity for years!”
Woah. SLOW DOWN THERE FOR A SECOND.

Next time you snap your ‘Shavan’ or ‘Efa’ cup, remember – you’re nothing but a CORPORATE SHILL.
