STEPHANIE RAINEY is a singer-songwriter from Co Cork - yesterday, she released the music video for her new single, Please Don’t Go.
The song deals with the themes of loss and grief, and the powerful black and white video features real people paying tribute to loved ones that have died.
They briefly describe how they passed away and how they felt about their deaths – some also include what they’d say to that person now, if they had the chance.
The video has an extremely personal angle for Stephanie, as one of the people in the video is her brother, Dylan, who lost his young son Fionn to meningitis.
The video has been shared over 34,000 times on Facebook – Stephanie told Buzzfeed:
I’m getting hundreds of messages and thousands of comments from strangers telling me how much the song and the video has helped them… I hope the people in the video realise what they’ve done for people.
