EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.
Stephen Gately’s family has ‘hired a private investigator’ to look into the singer’s death. Gately died of a congenital heart defect in 2009 while on holiday with his husband Andrew in Spain. He was 33 years old.
His brother Tony Gately says the family is now locked in battle with Andrew over Stephen’s €2m estate – and he says he is “still not certain” what happened on the night of Stephen’s death, as Andrew has never “opened up” to him. (Mail Online)
Zach Galifianakis has only one thing to say about his significant weightloss.
A reporter from E! News asked the actor if he had started going to the gym, eating differently…
No, I’m just… I’m dying.
Oh Zach. Never change. (E! News)
Taylor Swift has had it with people criticising her for writing songs about ex-boyfriends. Speaking on an Australian radio show, Swifty said it was “sexist” to criticise her for writing about relationships, but not like-minded male singers:
No one says that about Ed Sheeran. No one says it about Bruno Mars.
“They’re all writing songs about their exes, their current girlfriends, their love life, and no one raises a red flag there,” she continued. Go. Girl. (Buzzfeed)
