A director in Brazil stumbled upon a band from Galway's song and made the loveliest music video for it
A BAND BASED in Galway called Steven Sharpe & The Broke Straight Boys wrote a song called ‘Who’s The Man?’, which lists a series of questions the narrator received from his father after he came out as gay.

They range from “What’s with all the dancing? Why on earth do you talk like that?” to the age-old question that almost every lesbian, gay or bisexual person in a same sex relationship is asked at some point… “Who’s the man?”
Somehow, Brazilian filmmaker Sávio Fernandes stumbled upon Steven Sharpe’s song on music sharing website Bandcamp.
He got in touch from Brazil to see if Steven would let him make a music video for the song. Steven told DailyEdge.ie ”I said ‘Yes, of course.’ But I never thought it would turn out so amazing!”
Earlier this week, the music video was screened at Galway pub Roisin Dubh’s monthly short film showcase Little Cinema.

According to one of the organisers of Little Cinema, Julia Puchovska, everybody left with goosebumps after seeing Sávio’s intimate and warm depiction of a diverse group of LGBTQ people in Brazil to the soundtrack of “Who’s The Man?”
What makes this video even nicer is the bond between Irish people and Brazilians, particularly in LGBTQ spaces.
Steven has yet to meet Sávio, but they have been chatting online since the project began.
