It's a Christmas miracle! 13 puppies stolen from pet shop recovered by police

God bless us, everyone.

POLICE IN NEW Hampshire in the US say they have collared the humans responsible for snatching 13 puppies from a pet store in a smash-and-grab dognapping.

A passer-by noticed a broken window at Bill’s Pet and Aquarium in Manchester on Tuesday morning and called police.

Sergeant Brian O’Keefe told WMUR-TV that an officer sent to investigate spotted several people nearby, including one who was carrying a puppy. Four teens were arrested after a foot chase.

The puppies were soon found at a home. The pooches, worth over $5,000, included chocolate Labrador retrievers, cockapoos, a Shar-Pei, Papillion and a cocker spaniel.

An animal control officer says a microchip scan matched paperwork provided by the store owner.

The four arrested, ages 17 and 18, were charged with receiving stolen property and other counts.
