Storybook Cosmetics are now shipping to Ireland - these are the products to suss
BEAUTY BAY NOW stock Storybook Cosmetics – inspired by “all things mystic and magical”.
“What’s new there?”, says you, given that Cinderella’s already had her own MAC line nad LAsplash previously released a line of liquid lipsticks named after Disney villains.
Put simply, Storybook Cosmetics is the epitome of a ‘viral brand’. Founded by the Maynard triplets, the quirky packaging has been splashed across social media, and for good reason.
Their brushes are straight out of Beauty And The Beast.

Yep. Those are fully functional synthetic makeup brushes that look like roses. I’m salivating.
The What’s In A Name? Rose Brush Set contains:
It’s €52.10 for the set, working out at roughly €13 a brush – comparative to the likes of Real Techniques.

I haven’t had a chance to test the brushes myself, but most reviews from trusted beauty gurus have been positive, saying that they’re not just a flashy gimmick.
If you fancy yourself as more of a baddie though, the Roses Are Black Brush Set might be more appealing.

Same price, same concept – just more emo.

Storybook Cosmetics also make eyeshadow palettes.
The Wizardy and Witchcraft Palette takes its inspo from the Harry Potter series, as you’ve probably guessed.

With eyeshadows called ‘Broomstick’, ‘Sorcerer’ and ‘Potions.’, it’s hard not to understand why the fans are so obsessed with it.

And again, the packaging makes it look like an actual spellbook – bit of light reading on your vanity there, is it?

The palette also costs €52.10 on Beauty Bay – for 12 eyeshadows, that works out at €4.30 for each shade.
“Are they worth it though?” I hear you cry! “Am I just paying for a novelty?”
Again, I can’t personally vouch for the quality. Beauty reviewer Ashani found the eyeshadows to be bang average for the price. This gal, however, loved it.
At the moment, Beauty Bay are only carrying the aforementioned products, but Storybook’s range runs far wider than that on their own site.
Products on their own site include a Mean Girls-inspired eyeshadow palette, a Charlie and the Chocolate Factor-inspired eyeshadow palette and a new rang of liquid lipsticks.

You will probably end up paying a fortune in shipping of their own site though, as they are US-based. Fingers crossed Beauty Bay expands the line!
