ANYONE WHO’S EVER been to Electric Picnic will tell you that it’s an exhilarating yet utterly exhausting experience.
So here’s a pretty badly-kept secret: Many festival-goers and people working on-site trot over to Stradbally to unwind for an hour or two, have a quiet pint, or watch the match.
Of course, not everyone goes to a music festival to have a quiet pint, but if you do need one, here’s where to go:
Stradbally’s Main Street has a rake of pubs and at a mere 10 minute walk from the campsite, easy to reach for a quick break from the hustle and bustle.
Dunne’s
A hub of live music in its own right, Dunne’s is a great place to grab a quick pint during your downtime.
Napper Tandy’s
One that’s always jammed full of EP heads (see above), Napper Tandy’s even have their very own line-up of music and entertainment. Think of it as an extra stage.
Kehoe’s Bar
Fancy some pool or darts? Kehoe’s is your man.
The Vintage Inn
The Vintage Inn will be showing both the matches. Don’t say we never tell you anything.
Ramsbottom’s
Ramsbottom’s has been a fixture ofStradbally Main Street for 40 years – and it’s a popular haunt for the Electric Picnic crowd.
