According to the Turkish website Daily Sabah, the cat is believed to be a stray who wandered into the studio through an open door, then decided to make his TV debut.
And where did he go? Straight over to park himself on the laptop.

The presenter, though slightly surprised, kept a straight face and introduced the cat to the viewers:

He used the cat’s presence to encourage people to care for street cats as the weather gets colder. A man after our own hearts.
Daily Sabah reports that after the broadcast, the team fed the cat and named him Husnu – happily, he was later adopted by a member of staff. Adorable!
