Student pranks news reporter by giving his name as ‘father of a whore’ in Arabic
WHEN YOU’RE BEING interviewed on the news, you may as well have a little fun to make it memorable.
Texas man Sayed Jamal Hamideh speaks Arabic, so when ABC 13 news asked him to comment on an armed robbery that took place at his university halls of residence, he told the reporter his name was ‘Abu Sharmouta’.
Grand, you may say. However, in Arabic, this translates directly to ‘father of a whore’, and the oblivious reporter kept calling him that.
Of course, the Arabic speakers watching couldn’t cope.
Seems that the prank paid off, with love pouring in from Arabic speakers worldwide
Here’s the full footage. We await the first news appearance of Amadán Mór.
