IT’S A CURE that’s been passed down through generations.
Sudocrem for spots.
Are you even Irish if you haven’t walked around the house in your dressing gown with a load of white smudges on your face?
Some people even go as far as to employ the Sudocrem face mask, while involves completely covering your face in the stuff.
But does it actually work, or is it all a figment of our imagination?
Sudocrem themselves say:
Sudocrem Antiseptic Healing Cream is a nappy rash cream, but did you know it is also excellent for treating skin conditions such as acne. Sudocrem Antiseptic Healing Cream helps to soothe and heal while protecting the affected area from further infection.
While users of Acne.org rate it as a 4.3 cure. Some of the reviews do warn though that using it sparingly produces better results, with overuse causing more spots to pop up.
Skincare expert and influencer Caroline Hirons isn’t such a big fan. She writes that using toothpaste or nappy cream to spot-treat acne is a myth.
A one-off spot may have its redness taken down, temporarily, by applying toothpaste or nappy cream. If acne could be fixed by Oral-B or Sudocrem all of our problems would be solved. YAY! *jazz hands*
Dude. Stop putting toothpaste and bum cream on your face.
So. Tell us.
