Supervalu in Athy is taking the whole Good Friday alcohol ban *very* seriously

WHILE PEOPLE drink their hastily purloined cans at home and tourists gaze at closed pubs in befuddlement, shops are doing their best to adhere to the Good Friday licensing laws.
Supervalu in Athy, Co Kildare is taking this job very seriously.
Twitter user Vonnie spotted the various methods they’re using to ward people off the drink – there’s a sign and a Mini Roll barricade:

Not only are we forbidden from buying alcohol, we can’t even look at it. Protect us from what we want.
