McDonald's are trialling sweet potato fries, so get excited

MCDONALD’S, IN A struggle to stay relevant, keep throwing artisan items at us. The McMór, smashed avocado and wilted spinach breakfasts… what’s next?

Sweet potato fries, it seems.

The fast food giant have began rolling out the alarmingly orange chips in Texas and they look pretty delicious.

A spokesperson for McDonald’s confirmed to Eater.com that the side was legit and they’re now “gathering valuable customer feedback on them”.

At least this way, we can feel mildly healthy when we tuck into a big Mac.

They previously released sweet potato wedges in Australia but didn’t roll them out globally, so fingers crossed the Texans pull through for us.
