Is this Ireland's oldest Tayto bag?
IF THERE IS one historic item that can fill everyone with nostalgia, it’s the humble bag of Tayto.
So, when this bag was spotted over the weekend, it brought everyone back to a simpler time:
Look at it there, it even has the old Punt currency pricing on the front. And only 25p as well.
It was found on Ballynamona Beach in Cork over the weekend.
On the back, it shows that the bag of cheese and onion is 14 years old – going by the 2001 best before date.
Have you spotted an older bag of Taytos anywhere? Given it’s our national crisp institution, we’re thinking there have to be some relics lying around the place.
Thanks to Proinsias from t-leine for sending this our way.
