Cinemas now can't even show Team America: World Police

Boo.

FOLLOWING SONY’S DECISION to pull The Interview’s forthcoming release, cinemas across the United States made plans to screen Team America: World Police in its place.

Now they can’t even do that.

Paramount has reportedly pulled distribution of the puppet comedy, which features late North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, leading several cinemas to cancel their screenings.

The studio’s decision has been heavily criticised by many.

On Wednesday, Sony announced that the planned release of The Interview would not go ahead as planned following terroristic threats made by Guardians of the Peace, the hackers behind the recent Sony leak.

Paramount have yet to comment on or explain their decision.

It all begs the question: what would Matt Damon say?
