A TEENAGE BOY who posted a selfie of himself holding sanitary towels on Instagram has become an unlikely internet hero.
15-year-old Jose Garcia posted the selfie a month ago accompanied by a lengthy caption imploring all teenage boys to start carrying tampons and pads around with them.
Why?
For when their girlfriends or female friends find themselves without one, of course.
He added that all men should already know to give a girl his sweater to wrap around her waist should she find herself in an awkward situation, but said it was time to “step it up a notch”.
He also informed his female followers that they were free to “ask [him] for a pad at any time without receiving a negative response or a dirty look”.
Garcia’s post has since gone viral and received over 19,000 likes.
The teenager’s hashtag, #realmensupportwomen, has also taken off.
