What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday

Here’s the telly that everyone will be talking about tomorrow.

The Restaurant (TV3, 9pm)

Tonight’s episode sees singer Mary Coughlan prepare a range of dishes in the hopes of impressing the panel of culinary critics. Mary’s menu includes smoked mackerel pate, chargrilled aubergines stuff with feta, vegetarian risotto and roast chicken cooked with pomegranate molasses.

Legally Blonde (RTÉ 2, 9pm)

2001 comedy starring Reese Witherspoon. Elle Woods enrolls at Havard after a dramatic break-up with her ex-boyfriend, who she believes considers her too stupid to date.

Don’t Tell the Bride (E4, 9pm)

The last episode in the UK series, Matthew has a budget of £14,000, but will that be enough to realise his Roman-inspired dreams? And where does his fiancée come into it?

Everyone’s talking about… The Great Celebrity Bake Off

Last night saw Lee Mack,  Joe Lycett, Melanie Sykes and Griff Rhys Jones battle it out for first place in the infamous baking tent as part of this year’s Stand Up to Cancer campaign.

And while the celebrities sweated it out over the tasks, Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith – as per standard -  simply sat back and enjoyed the fruit of the celebrities’ labour.

While Lee Mack had viewers in knots from start to finish, it was Mel who reigned supreme in the end.

And Twitter was only buzzing for her.

Weekend at Bernies (3e, 9pm)

1989 comedy which tells the story of two young accountants who discover their boss has been murdered after arriving for a weekend at his beach house.

The Real Full Monty: Live (UTV, 9pm)

In an effort to raise awareness of men’s cancers, Ashley Banjo and Alexander Armstrong front a live version of the famous on-stage performance, with personal stories from James Argent, Jeff Brazier and Ainsley Harriott.

Britain’s Brightest Family (UTV, 11.20pm)

Hosted by Anne Hegarty, this show sees two families go head-to-head in an effort to claim the coveted Britain’s Brightest Family title.
