DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
Mamma Mia (RTÉ One, 9.30pm)
If you’re only dying to see the sequel, but in dire need of a little refresher first, RTÉ has you sorted tonight! With the help of a starstudded cast, Mamma Mia tells the story of Donna Sheridan – a single mother, who is forced to confront her past when her daughter decides to reach out to three men- all of whom potentially played a very important part in her life. Oh, and there’s more ABBA songs than you can shake a stick at.
Love Island (3e, 9pm)
Tonight’s episode marks the beginning of the final week in the infamous villa. Those who are still in with a chance of finding love and taking home a £50,000 cash prize will be on their best game this week. Or so you’d like to think…
The Sex Clinic (Channel 4, 10.10pm)
This new series follows artists as they move to unusual locations in an effort to find inspiration for their next piece. Follow Bryony Kimmings tonight, who interacts with patients at a sexual health clinic, before embarking on projects inspired by their stories.
Everyone is talking about… The Middle spin-off
Let’s be honest here, the stand-out star of The Middle was Sue Heck.
So, it’s no surprise that fans of the show, which came to an end this year, are only bloody thrilled to hear that Eden Sher is currently working on a spin-off.
Speaking to TV Line, Eden said:
We are shooting a pilot. hope it gets picked up. I think it’s going to be great.
And Twitter is here for it.
Let’s hope the Middle spinoff with Sue Heck gets picked up.

Or switch over for…
- The Secret Lives of 4 Year Olds (More 4, 7.55pm) They’re small, cute and often deliver some serious one-liners.
- Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (TV3, 9pm) Nothing like a spy thriller of a Sunday.
- Britain’s Got Talent (3e, 7.3opm) There’ll be some gems, and some clangers.
- Stonehearst Asylum (Channel 4, 11.05pm) Gothic horror if you’re not into spy thrillers.
