What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday
DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
It’s Complicated (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)
Romantic comedy starring Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin. Jane and Jake have been divorced for ten years and have since established relationships with new people, but they choose to start a secret affair after reuniting at their son’s college graduation because, well, it’s complicated.
Ireland’s Rich List (RTÉ 2, 9.30pm)
Yes, it’s rude to talk money, but what do we care? If you’re as keen as we are to know who the 30 richest people in Ireland are, join Joe O’Shea tonight as he makes his way through the country’s biggest earners. Figures are based on the Sunday Times Rich List, but expletive-ridden assessment of whether they deserve it or not is all your own.
Hutch v Kinahan: Ireland’s Deadliest Feud (TV3, 9pm)
It’s one of the most high-profile gangland feuds of recent years, and tonight Sarah O’Connor investigates the origins behind it. With 14 lives lost and countless families affected, this documentary chronicles the events which have dominated news headlines over the course of the last three years.
Everyone is talking about… The Intern
The Intern aired on RTÉ One last night, FYI.
And while it was met with mixed reviews upon its release in 2015, viewers in Ireland had a much more positive response to the comedy starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro.
To be fair, a midweek movie isn’t required to do much more than mildly entertain, so with that in mind, The Intern ticked all the boxes.
And Twitter was very grateful.
