What to watch on TV this weekend

All of the telly you need to watch this weekend.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting and talking about this weekend.

Saturday

Disney’s A Christmas Carol (RTE 1, 7.05pm) It’s the 2009 version, so don’t get too excited. However, it’s a classic story and will get you right into the Christmas spirit.

Happy Hour with Olly Murs (Virgin Media One, 9pm) Yes, Olly Murs has his own show now. He takes over an entire pub in Essex for a night of games and fun. He’ll be joined by Bradley Walsh, Emma Willis, Rochelle Humes, Chris and Kem, and Sir Tom Jones. What a crew.

The Night Before (RTE 2, 9.25pm) If you’re looking for a Christmas movie that’s a little less traditional, here it is. Three friends arrange a big blow out before Christmas, then they’ll put their party days behind them. A likely story.

The Apprentice Final (BBC 1, 9pm) Who’s gonna win Lord Sugar’s love and admiration this year? None of these jokers, but someone gets some cash.

Christmas with the Coopers (RTE 1, 9.30pm) Four generations of Coopers get together for a reunion on Christmas eve, each with a story. A series of events causes chaos, but it all works out in the end of course.

Gladiator (RTE 2, 9pm) Ah, Russell Crowe, you used to be brilliant. Set back in Roman times, a former general is forced to become a gladiator.
