The Place Beyond the Pines (RTE 1, 9.35pm)

Ryan Gosling stars as a motorcycle stunt rider who gives up the road to be with his former lover and the son he never knew he had. But instead, he’s pulled into a life of crime.

Live UEFA Champions League (RTE 2, 7pm)

Atletico Madrid take on Real Madrid at Estadio Vicente Calderon. Kick off is at 7.45pm, with commentary from Ray Houghton and George Hamilton.

The Italian Job (3e, 10pm)

Charlize Theron, Jason Statham and Ed Norton star in the remake of the 60s classic. Double-crossed in Venice, a group of thieves take their revenge back to LA, in a lot of Minis.

Everyone’s talking about… The Eurovision

The first semi-final took place last night, and a clear favourite emerged. Yes, Portugal’s entry, who kinda looked like Hozier, won fans all over the gaff.

It’s the first time they made the final in SEVEN YEARS so fair play to them.

We’re still behind Montenegro, even though they were cruelly left out of the final.
