Modern Family Cast Ty Burrell, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, Ariel Winter, Sarah Hyland, Sofia Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Nolan Gould, Eric Stonestreet, Rico Rodriguez, Julie Bowen and Ed O’Neill at the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards last night. HOW MANY EPISODES of Friends have you seen more than once but yet you’ll still sit through them again, regardless? Modern Family has that same inexplicable ability to keep us entertained which Chandler et al brought us in the 1990s.
Except, Modern Family is probably much, much funnier.
Last night, the cast were honoured with the SAG award for best overall ensemble in a TV comedy show (take that Golden Globes, which snubbed the hit show this year). Here’s just some of the reasons why the SAG was totally deserved.
The kids
Has their ever been better casting than that of Nolan Gould and Rico Rodriguez?
And let’s not forget Aubrey Anderson-Emmons’s Lily. Adorbs.
Some good lookin’ women
The red-carpet roll-out
Last weekend, Nolan and Rico were employed to roll-out the red carpet for the SAGs, to hilarious effect.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson
All the actors seem genuinely funny in their own right. See: Ferguson’s SAG acceptance speech.

Sarah Hyland is so teeny and adorable
They love Emma Stone too
And they all seem to get on well with each other.

There may be some real-life, extra parenting going on
I’d love Ty Burrell to be my fake-foster Dad.

Or Eric Stonestreet.
