THERE IS A branch of Tesco in Haggerston, north east London. And one shopper is so angry with it, they set up their own Tumblr.
It’s called “The Very Worst Tesco”. They are very, very angry.
They are angry with the cardboard stacking trolley:
HAGGERSTON TESCO IS NOW SELLING MODERN ART IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STORE.THIS PIECE IS A STATEMENT ON THE VASTNESS OF TODAY’S SOCIETY’S NARCISSISM; A VISIBLE MASS SPILLING OUT OF THE CONFINES OF CONVENTION WHILST CLEARLY CONSISTING OF MORE NEGATIVE SPACE AND VOIDS THAN ACTUAL MATTER.
FOR SALE. NO RESERVE
And the cleaning product shelves:
THIS MUST HAVE BEEN THE CLEANLIEST PANIC BUY EVER.I JUST WANT SOME CLEANING PRODUCTS. WHY IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?!
In fact the Tumblr user is so angry that Tesco called them up to explain how the store is a work in progress, and they’re going to be fixing it.
The power of Tumblr!
Before that happened though, the person was also angry with the Pringles:
THESE PRINGLES HAD BEEN OSTRACIZED BY THE OTHERS FOR BEING TOO PLAIN. THEY WERE BANISHED TO THE WASTELAND OF THE AISLE.
They are even, inexplicably, angry with the sale stock:
I went in for potatoes but all they had was this long thing. I don’t know what it is but I’m going back tonight to see if any further reductions have been made.
So much anger.
They are still fairly angry, even though Tesco are fixing it. You can read the whole chronicle of anger here.
