Tesco have withdrawn this spectacular fail of a Ramadan promotion
A TESCO IN London was left a bit red faced when they promoted Ramadan with bacon-flavoured Pringles.
Muslims don’t eat or drink anything from sunrise to sunset during Ramadan–the ninth month in the Islamic calendar when they believe the Quran was revealed to Muhammad.
The other thing, is that they tend not to enjoy the taste of pork, which is considered forbidden for many Muslims… which makes this Tesco display all the more facepalm-worthy.
Whoops!

Speaking to BuzzFeed, Raza Hassan said he wasn’t offended at all, but found the irony hilarious.
Tesco quickly replied:
They later issued a statement on Twitter saying they would be removing the flavour, despite the fact that they don’t actually contain any meat products.
Many supermarkets in the UK are offering special deals for the month, as Muslims are set to spend an extra £100 million on food.
