Texas cinema will screen Team America in place of Seth Rogen's North Korea film
FOLLOWING SONY’S DECISION to cancel the release of The Interview, a Dallas cinema has taken the decision to screen Team America: World Police in its place.
Alamo Drafthouse Richardson will show a quote-along version of the film on December 27th, two days after The Interview was scheduled to be released.
On its website, the cinema described the film as “GREATEST MOVIE MADE ABOUT AMERICAN PATRIOTISM EVER” and encouraged people to “celebrate your independence” by attending the film.
Last night, Sony revealed that it would not be releasing The Interview as planned after several exhibitors opted not to show the film in the wake of terror threats made by Guardians of the Peace, the hackers responsible for the recent Sony leaks.
The decision was criticised by various members of the Hollywood community.
