LAST NIGHT, THE Great British Bake Off finally returned to our screens and people were very excited.
It’s the perfect comfort TV to ease viewers of all ages back into the horrors of back-to-school season. The lineup this year did not disappoint.
#GBBO is wholesome at the best of times but all the bakers this series just seem genuinely lovely!

To mark biscuit week, the contestants were asked to make biscuit self portraits.
What could possibly go wrong? Here’s what they turned out like.

Yeah, you’re probably wondering what the hell that first one was supposed to be. Here’s a closer look. That’s a baby in a pink blanket, btw.

Yep, new contestant Dan was the first to fall victim to the whole accidentally-making-something-that-looked-vaguely-like-a-penis thing, and plenty of viewers shared their amusement on Twitter.
That. Is. Not. A. Baby. 🤦♀️ #GBBO pic.twitter.com/TinZwH8eqM

It probably could have been worse though. We still have to commend his work.

Paul Hollywood’s first impression, however? Prawn.
In Paul's head: "This is an important moment in Dan's life, so be nice"

Out of Paul's mouth: "Your baby looks like a prawn"#GBBO
And it’s only the first episode, which means there are plenty more mishaps to look forward to in the coming weeks.
